SUMMARY:Men's Group
DESCRIPTION:The First Unitarian Congregational Society’s Men’s Group wa
s established on November 10\, 2024\, with support from the Connections Co
mmittee. Newcomers are always welcome.\n\nWe meet on the second Sunday of
each month from 12:45–2:15 p.m. Meetings begin with a chalice lighting a
nd a reading of our covenant\, followed by introductions and a brief check
-in. We then share announcements and explore a topic chosen by the group.
Before closing\, we select a topic for the following month’s discussion.
To foster openness and trust\, we keep personal conversations confidentia
 l. Discussions often focus on living our Unitarian Universalist values\, n
avigating personal and social challenges\, responding to current events\,
and supporting one another and our wider community.\n\nIn addition\, we ga
ther informally on the fourth Monday of each month from 6:30–8:30 p.m. f
or fellowship and conversation\, without a set agenda.\n\nThe Men’s Grou
p welcomes all who identify as men or as masculine people. We strive to cr
eate a supportive\, respectful\, and nonjudgmental space where participant
s can share experiences\, explore meaningful topics\, and build authentic
connections. We also encourage engagement with the broader life of the con
gregation and collaboration with other affinity groups\, including women\,
youth\, and LGBTQ+ communities.\n\nTo learn more or join us\, contact Cha
rles Lynch — or simply come to a meeting.
